Johanna McKeon

Auld Lang Syne marks McKeon’s feature film debut. She is a prolific director for the stage in New York and abroad. On Broadway she has worked as Associate Director on Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Green Day’s American Idiot, and Grey Gardens. She served as resident director on the World Tour of American Idiot, and is currently in preparation for the upcoming National Tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Her directing credits for the stage include Tokio Confidential (Atlantic Stage Two), Anne Washburn’s I Have Loved Strangers (Clubbed Thumb), and Sam Forman’s The Rise and Fall of Annie Hall (Vineyard Playhouse). She has worked the Globe Theatre, Bushwick Starr, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Vineyard Theater, Ontological-Hysteric Theatre, Here Arts Center, and Movement Research Festival as well as international venues such as The Schaubuehne and The Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin. McKeon is a Fulbright recipient and a winner of The Drama League Directing Fellowship. MFA UT Austin.
